Windblown Wall Hangings by Lynne O'Connor

I was inspired by this block I made for someone in an online quilting guild. I was provided with the background fabric and the instructions for the windblown block, then provided my own red and blue fabrics. At first I wasn't impressed with the block, but when I was done, I was “blown” away with the way the block moves and decided to use the remaining scraps of hand-dyed fabric samples I had to make three more blocks and finish them into wall hangings. Too bad the photos don't show off the vivid contrasts and movement in these blocks.
