Large Satchel by Lynne O'Connor

I made this satchel in 1999, with original intentions to give it to Jude to carry things to and from school. The completed bag weighs a lot and turned out to be too big for him to carry. It does hold a lot of things and if he wanted to, he could fit his laptop and accessories along with a couple big textbooks and notebooks. There's even pockets for a portable CD player, calculator, pens and pencils and more compartments and pockets. Even though it is too large for daily use (and would get absolutely drenched in the rain) I used it sometimes for carrying clothing on weekend trips or for storing fabric.
